Isle of Man TT cancels Wednesday racing
The third day of racing at the 2026 Isle of Man TT has officially been cancelled due to poor weather conditions.

The 2026 Isle of Man TT continues to be frustrated by poor weather conditions, with all racing on Wednesday officially cancelled, increasing the chances of contingency sessions being used.
This year’s event has so far been heavily affected by low clouds in particular, as well as rain, with a total of three races now postponed. Race 1 of the Superstock class was scheduled to open race week last Saturday, before it was rescheduled for Tuesday, 2 June.
But after several delays yesterday, including the postponement of the Sportbike TT Race 1, only for it to be rescheduled later in the day, two out of the three races were shelved, including the above-mentioned Superstock and Sportbike races.

It was only race one of the Supersport class that managed to go ahead, with Michael Dunlop adding to his record-breaking run of TT wins, which now stands at 34.
Today’s schedule was only due to feature one race, that being Race 2 in Superstock. But, that race has now been postponed as well, with TT organisers set to release an updated schedule in due course.
An official statement said:
“Due to poor weather conditions around the course and further showers forecast throughout the day, there will be no scheduled racing today. All roads on the TT Mountain Course will remain open.
"The Clerk of the Course continues to work closely with the Met Office to identify all available opportunities for racing to take place during the remainder of the event. A further update with a revised schedule will be issued in due course. Thank you for your continued cooperation and patience."

All of this means the TT is likely to use a contingency session to try and fit at least one of the postponed races in before the end of the event, which is scheduled to finish this Saturday, 6 June, with the Senior TT race.
