One of Hollywood’s biggest names has dropped in on the world’s most famous motorcycle race this week, as Brad Pitt has been spotted casually taking in the spectacle of the Isle of Man TT.

The star of the recently released, and Lewis Hamilton-backed, F1 movie might have looked like any other high-profile fan at the event, although there is likely an element of work behind Pitt’s appearance. His production company, Plan B Entertainment, is helping to piece together the filming of the TT film that began shooting at the 2026 event.

In some of the clips of Pitt taking in the event show him posing for photos with fans, while a familiar voice can be heard in the background. The unmistakable accent belonging to John McGuinness can be heard, and in one of the clips, he’s saying “You’re the number one now!” referring to the fact that it’s usually the Morecombe Missile who has fans queuing up for selfies. He was also spotted chatting to Honda's Dean Harrison shortly before racing began.

The TT film, which stars Channing Tatum and Eve Hewson, is being directed by Reid Carolin, who also wrote and produced the Magic Mike series and Earth Made of Glass. Carolin has spoken openly about his personal connection to the Isle of Man, which came about from his mother's experiences on the island.

Speaking to Radio TT, Carolin said:

"She said her favourite place in the world was this little island in the Irish Sea called the Isle of Man."

"I only realised years later when I was researching to do this film that that was the place she was always telling me about," he said.

"My job is to capture the love of the race and also the love of the place," he said, adding that the film would showcase not just the TT itself, but also "the beauty of this place and the way it does come alive for race week".

The film is part of a wider deal struck by Amazon MGM Studios, which also includes a behind-the-scenes docuseries shot during the 2024 Isle of Man TT. The release date of the TT movie being filmed at this year's event is yet to be confirmed.
