Indian Motorcycle set to cut 2027 Scout line-up by more than half its models
Indian Motorcycle is set to reduce its 2027 Scout line-up in a big way, according to reports out of the US.
Indian Motorcycle is expected to trim its Scout line-up for 2027 by more than half its current models, according to a report from Motorcycle.com.
In recent years, Indian Motorcycle’s iconic Scout line-up has grown exponentially through the arrival of new models, and different variants that sit within that. In the UK, Indian Motorcycle currently offers eight Scout models - these are; Scout Sixty Bobber, Scout Sixty Classic, Sport Scout Sixty, Sport Scout RT, Scout Bobber, Scout Classic, Super Scout, and finally, the 101 Scout.
But within this line-up lie different trims. For example, the Scout Sixty Bobber includes a special Limited variant, as does the Scout Sixty Classic line-up. If we switch over to the Scout Bobber, there is a Scout Bobber Limited +Tech variant to go along with the standard model. The Limited and Limited +Tech options brought an even higher specification to the range, including the addition of rider aids such as traction control and cruise control.
A total of 17 models, including different trims, made up Indian’s Scout line-up in 2025. In 2026, the company reduced that line-up, although 15 models and trims are still available. That number remains high due to the American brand introducing the Sport Scout RT Limited +Tech and the 125th Anniversary Scout Bobber. However, according to the report, a big downsizing of the overall range is coming for 2027.
This is being steered by Indian Motorcycle’s new management, with just six Scout models expected. Motorcycle.com says this information has been made available via the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, which has certified the 2027 line-up.
According to the report, the models that will remain include the 101 Scout, Scout Bobber, Scout Bobber Limited, Sport Scout Limited, Super Scout Limited, and Scout Sixty Bobber. This means there may no longer be a Scout Sixty Classic within the company’s line-up from 2027.
It also means that all +Tech variants will be removed from the range, as will this year’s anniversary edition.
