Isle of Man TT stars confirmed for Macau Grand Prix but regular winner absent

Peter Hickman is set to contest the 2026 Macau Grand Prix without 8Ten Racing teammate and business partner Davey Todd.

14-time Isle of Man TT winner Peter Hickman will contest next month’s Macau Grand Prix, although back-to-back winner Davey Todd is absent from the 20-rider entry list.

2026 has been a year of ups and downs for the pair, who are teammates at 8Ten Racing, as well as business partners.

Both riders suffered serious accidents at the Daytona 200 in March, but it was Todd who came away from the event with the more long-lasting effects, leading to the 2025 TT winner missing this year’s event on the Isle of Man.

Todd also missed the North West 200, however, the BMW M1000 RR rider was recently in action during the BMW F900 R Cup at Brands Hatch.

But despite his return to racing, Todd will miss the Macau Grand Prix on November 19-22, an event he’s won at in both of the last two years.

Missing Macau will cap off a terribly disrupted 2026 season for Todd, who, alongside Hickman, also withdrew the 8Ten Racing team from the British Superbike Championship earlier in the year.

The team’s decision was based on two factors; returning to full health for both riders and prioritising road racing, as well as the different bike specs used in BSB.

A technical overhaul has since been confirmed by the BSB championship, however, Hickman recently confirmed that the 8Ten team has no plans to return even so.

Next month’s Macau Grand Prix will feature another TT regular in the form of Paul Jordan, while 2026 Classic TT race winner Rob Hodson will also be in action.

The Macau Grand Prix represents the final chance to compete at a major road race in 2026, meaning Todd’s priorities will not firmly switch to 2027.
