Harley-Davidson and MotoGP Agree 2026 Global Racing Series
MotoGP and Harley-Davidson have agreed on a new global partnership, which will see the debut of a bagger racing series in 2026

MotoGP will introduce a new racing series to its schedule in 2026 after agreeing a deal with Harley-Davidson to stage a six-round bagger racing series.
Known as King of the Baggers in the United States, the popular series is now coming to MotoGP with a total of 12 races (six per round) confirmed across Europe and North America.
The partnership between MotoGP and Harley-Davidson began in November 2024, although no confirmation of a racing series was forthcoming. However, a post-season test in Barcelona, coupled with the American company’s CEO Jochen Zeitz admitting MotoGP was of interest, means this announcement is not exactly surprising.
The grid will feature six to eight teams with two riders per team, all of which will be supported by Harley-Davidson Factory Racing. The bikes set to be used are track-focused Road Glide motorcycles.

“This is a bold new step for Harley-Davidson’s global racing ambitions,” said Zeitz. “Harley-Davidson has been pioneering performance on and off the road since our beginnings over 120 years ago.
“Most recently, we showcased performance through our racing at the MotoAmerica Mission King of the Baggers series and through performance-differentiated product such as our new CVO RR motorcycle and our CVO Road Glide ST.
“We’ve seen how performance has resonated with riders and fans, and we know that they’re keen for more. “With this new series, we’re excited to bring a new form of racing to the world stage. Not only is this a bold and new chapter for our brand, celebrating our heritage while pushing into the future, but it will add an amazing spectacle to the greatest motorcycle show in the world.”
More details on the full calendar will be revealed soon and it’s expected that one of the six rounds which take place at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Texas.
