Harley-Davidson lay-off Race Team Manager

US bike giant cuts back staff for economic reasons

HARLEY-DAVIDSON have laid-off their racing team manager, Anne Paluso, in light of increasing economic gloom.

“I can confirm her position was eliminated today due to budgetary reasons and that she has left the company,” Harley-Davidson spokesman Paul James told Roadracingworld.com Monday afternoon.

“Racing teams will continue to report to Bill Davidson. Our plan is to go racing in 2010 in dirt and drag racing, but final plans have not yet been set.”

The move ends Paluso's 16-year employment with the American motorcycle giant.
