Robbie Knievel to jump 16 buses in London 2010

Son of daredevil legend to replicate father's failed stunt

ROBBIE KNIEVEL - son of stunt legend Evel Knievel - has announced he will attempt to jump 16 double-decker buses in London next year.

Replicating a stunt failed by his late father at Wembley Stadium in 1975, Robbie will attempt the giant leap on a classic Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Knievel, 47, has chosen to turn his back on modern, easier-to-jump machinery and instead will ride a Harley Davidson XR-750: the same machine used by his late father in the Wembley attempt 35 years ago.

"Daredevils are a dying breed," he said. "I'm proud to have been raised by one and to be one myself."
