Available in four different versions, the Manx R has been recognised for its design concept after winning the ‘Best of the Best’ award.

Winning a Red Dot award is one of the most meaningful and impactful awards any motorcycle company can win, which highlights the commitment shown by Norton as part of its recent revival.

Leading the design of the new superbike was Simon Skinner, Head of Design at Norton Motorcycles, who accepted the award on behalf of the company.

Speaking after the company’s first major award win, Skinner said:

“Best of the Best” is the strongest recognition Red Dot can give, and it belongs to every member of the team which brought the Manx R to life. What makes this win especially powerful is that the jury did not recognise design in the abstract. It recognised a fully resolved motorcycle that customers can now see, touch and ride."

"With the Manx R, we set out to create a motorcycle with unmistakable presence, where proportion, reductive design and every detail contribute to its desirability. This recognition celebrates the creativity and commitment of our team, and our ambition to bring a distinctive expression of modernity to motorcycling.”

As I mentioned earlier, the Manx R is available in four variants, starting with the standard model priced at £20,250.

From there, the £24,750 Apex edition is next in line, before rising to £38,750 with the Signature Edition.

Despite the price gap between the two models, they both share many similarities, while the Manx R First Edition gets the full works with the addition of an Akrapovic exhaust system, and more. The First Edition model sits at the top of the range, while pricing information will be revealed when customers contact their local Norton dealership.

At the heart of the Manx R is the all-new 1200cc V4 engine, built by TVS at its Hosur factory in India, which produces a claimed 206bhp at 11,500rpm alongside 96 lb-ft of torque at 9,000rpm.
