BMW M1000 RR receives third-gen M Motorsport frame amongst 2027 updates
BMW Motorrad has continued its 2027 model year updates with both the M1000 RR and S1000 RR receiving a bunch of optional equipment.

BMW has revealed a long list of updates for the M1000 RR, while its superbike sibling, the S1000 RR, has gained a new tinted screen and M forged wheels.
There’s no other place to start than the M1000 RR, though, which in August will receive the company’s third-gen M Motorsport frame. The bike’s weight has also been lowered by approximately 1.3kg. Additionally, BMW says the updated model will benefit from “precisely tuned stiffness and flexibility for optimal chassis performance and maximum grip”.
BMW has added M Forged Wheels as a standard feature aboard the M1000 RR, while M Carbon Wheels will be available as part of an alternative package.

Two optional M Track packages will be available, which include an M Endurance Chain, Carbon, and M Billet packs. However, the M Competition Package is no longer available.
The only difference between the M Track and M Track II packs, is that the former includes the above-mentioned M Carbon Wheels.
Moving over to the S1000 RR, BMW has revealed a new Style Edition M Sport colourway which is named Blackstorm Metallic/M Motorsport. While the S1000 RR gains this new colour option, it loses the Sport/Bluestone metallic option.

Like the M1000 RR, it also comes with optional equipment including a USB Charging Port that’s part of the Dynamic Package. Furthermore, the M Package offers the M Forged Wheels, while M Carbon Wheels once again become part of an alternative package.
The R and S naked variants of the M1000 and S1000 arrive with optional equipment, too. The S model features a USB Charging Port as part of the Comfort Package, while the M1000 R gains the Track and Track II packages, with the former offering M Carbon Wheels, which the latter does not.
Outside of that, both packages remain the same, while the M Competition Package (M Track) and Competition Package (M Track II) are no longer available.
