MotoGP is set to host a “high-speed showcase” involving some of motorcycle racing’s biggest names at the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, this Saturday.

MotoGP Hall of Fame inductee Dani Pedrosa is one of the star names that will be part of the blockbuster event.

A three-time world champion across the 125cc and 250cc classes, the retired racer is widely regarded as the best MotoGP rider that never won the premier class title.

Pedrosa, who is one of KTM’s main MotoGP test riders, will be joined by recently-crowned WorldSBK champion Nicolo Bulega, fellow Grand Prix legend Andrea Dovizioso, and Aprilia test rider Lorenzo Savadori.

The four MotoGP machines will take to the track on Saturday, October 24, at 11:40am to 12pm local time (5:40pm to 6pm UK time).

MotoGP and F1 have never before held an event like this, which will give F1 fans a unique look at the current 1,000cc prototypes, which will be replaced by the new 850cc bikes in 2027.

In addition to the on-track action, MotoGP will also host a dedicated fan activation in the circuit’s Fan Zone throughout the weekend. This will feature the four bikes used on track by Pedrosa, Bulega, Dovizioso and Savadori.

Speaking about the first-of-its-kind showcase, Pedrosa said:

"It's always special to ride a MotoGP bike at COTA, one of the most iconic circuits in the world.

"The United States Grand Prix is a truly unique and special event on the F1 calendar, attracting an incredible crowd and providing a great opportunity to give fans a taste of what makes MotoGP so exciting. The speed, the sound and the performance of these bikes is something you have to experience in person, and I'm looking forward to sharing that with everyone in Austin."

At the same time as the unique MotoGP showcase in Austin, Texas, the current stars of MotoGP will be racing in Phillip Island, as part of the final Australian race at the iconic venue, before the series moves to Adelaide next year.
