2027 Honda CBR600RR gets new brakes, revised styling and updated electronics
Honda's 2027 CBR600RR gains Fireblade-derived front brakes, revised aerodynamics and a larger TFT display, while retaining its 599cc inline-four engine.

Honda has updated its CBR600RR for 2027, bringing revised front-end styling, new braking hardware and a larger TFT display to its middleweight supersport, while retaining the 599cc inline-four engine that produces 119bhp.
The biggest mechanical change is the adoption of Nissin radial-mount, four-piston front brake calipers from the larger CBR1000RR-R Fireblade.
They clamp a pair of 310mm floating discs and are paired with a radial-piston master cylinder, with Honda aiming to improve braking performance and control on both road and track.
The braking system also gets a revised ABS module derived from the Fireblade, introducing three selectable modes. Standard mode prioritises stability in a wider range of conditions, including wet weather, while Track reduces the intervention of the system by removing rear-wheel lift control.

Race mode goes further, disabling rear ABS to allow more aggressive braking, with the system retaining control over front-wheel slip.
The CBR600RR's front fairing has also been reworked for 2027, with the previous winglets integrated into the bodywork beneath the headlights.
Honda says the revised frontal spoiler retains the previous design's downforce without increasing drag, while also helping to direct airflow away from the rider's arms to reduce buffeting and fatigue.
Another change comes in the cockpit, where the previous display is replaced by a five-inch full-colour TFT screen. It includes a shift-up indicator, alongside information such as lap times, lap count and fastest lap, giving riders more useful data for circuit riding.
The engine remains a 599cc, 16-valve inline-four producing 119bhp at 14,250rpm and 46.5lb-ft of torque at 11,500rpm. Honda says upgraded camshaft, valve spring and crankshaft materials help manage the forces associated with high engine speeds, while revised inlet ports increase flow capacity by 2.2%. Valve timing has also been adjusted to improve intake efficiency and exhaust gas flow.

Electronics continue to include throttle-by-wire, a six-axis inertial measurement unit, nine-level Honda Selectable Torque Control, wheelie control, cornering ABS and rear-lift control.
A quickshifter and assist/slipper clutch remain standard, with three preset riding modes and two customisable User modes available.
The aluminium twin-spar frame, 41mm Showa Big Piston forks and Unit Pro-Link rear suspension carry over, while kerb weight remains 194kg and seat height is 820mm.
Honda will offer the 2027 CBR600RR in Ignition Red HRC TriColour and Matt Ballistic Black Metallic. Three HRC race kits, developed for World Supersport, Superbike and track-day use, will also be available for circuit use only.
The 2027 Honda CBR600RR will be priced at £10,999 in the UK, unchanged from the current model. The updated supersport will be available in UK dealerships from January 2027.
