Ducati Pirelli 44 speedboat revealed with 1,500bhp
Ducati has teamed up with Pirelli and SACS Marine to create a 1,500bhp speedboat limited to just 26 examples.
Ducati has already put its name to cars, coffee machines and plenty of other things you probably wouldn't expect to find wearing a Ducati badge.
Now it's turned its attention to boats, and it's done so with a 1,500hp speedboat.
The Italian motorcycle manufacturer has teamed up with Pirelli and SACS Marine to create the PIRELLI 44 | Ducati Edition, a limited-run maxi-RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) developed to celebrate Ducati's 100th anniversary.
Just 26 examples will be produced, with the number chosen as a nod to 1926, the year Ducati was founded. The boat made its world premiere at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival, where the full details of the project were revealed.
The PIRELLI 44 | Ducati Edition is based on the new Pirelli 44, which itself is the latest development of the Pirelli Speedboats range produced by SACS Marine. Pirelli and SACS Marine have been working together for more than 20 years, primarily producing high-performance maxi-RIBs.
Ducati's involvement means the new boat gets a distinctly motorcycle-inspired look, with its livery developed alongside Ducati's Centro Stile design department. The inspiration comes from the Superleggera V4 Centenario, Ducati's most extreme road-legal motorcycle and another machine created to mark the company's centenary.
There are a few other Ducati touches, too. The engines get aerodynamic appendages inspired by the tail sections of Ducati's MotoGP bikes, while the boat's tubes feature a tread pattern based on the Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyre fitted to the Superleggera V4 Centenario. The pattern is hand-sculpted and hand-carved by craftsmen at Pirelli's R&D Centre.
And then there's the engine room.
The PIRELLI 44 | Ducati Edition gets three 500hp Mercury Racing engines, giving it a combined 1,500hp. The triple-engine setup is exclusive to the Ducati Edition and is intended to give the boat the performance to match its aggressive styling.
The boat uses a sporty double-stepped hull designed by the Mannerfelt Design Team and also gets a carbon-fibre hardtop, black stainless-steel detailing, an Alcantara dashboard and pilot seats, plus a commemorative plaque and customisable number plate.
For Ducati, it's another example of how far the company is prepared to stretch its brand beyond motorcycles.
The manufacturer has already worked with other automotive companies and put its name to everything from coffee machines to bicycles, and now it has a high-performance RIB to add to the list.
The PIRELLI 44 | Ducati Edition isn't being presented as a one-off project, either. Ducati, Pirelli and SACS Marine say the collaboration is the beginning of a longer project, with further dedicated initiatives and events planned.
So, after the cars and the coffee machine, Ducati has gone one better. This time, it's putting 1,500hp on the water.
