KTM 690 Rally given Yamaha Ténéré 700 Rally-rivalling price
Built using the same platform as the company’s Enduro R, KTM's all-new 690 Rally middleweight will cost UK customers £11,499.
KTM has officially confirmed pricing for the 2027 690 Rally in the UK, which is a motorcycle that arrives as the new flagship model within the company’s middleweight adventure range.
The new model will cost UK customers £11,499, giving it a price tag that rivals the Yamaha Ténéré 700 Rally, which comes in at £11,108. It will also be available from dealerships from October.
Built using the same platform as the 690 Enduro R, the 690 Rally is an off-road-focused bike that’s designed to tackle harsh terrain, and all weather conditions.
KTM is positioning the new model as the spiritual successor to the 640 Adventure model, which was last produced in 2007. The 640 Adventure was first introduced in 1997, and made use of a 625cc single-cylinder engine built around the LC4 platform.
However, the new 690 Rally is powered by a more powerful 692cc LC4 single that produces around 78 bhp and 54 Ib-ft of torque.
According to KTM, the 690 Rally “evolves its dual-sport foundation with a clear focus on extended range, stability, and long-distance usability”.
To achieve this, the new bike benefits from a purpose-built rally tower that includes an integrated windshield, as well as dual front-mounted fuel tanks which have increased capacity to approximately 20 litres.
The 690 Rally’s improved fuel capacity is fed via the standard 13-litre fuel tank, plus the two front-mounted tanks, both of which hold 3.5 litres.
Stopping power is handled by Brembo with a twin-piston caliper up front, together with a 300mm single disc. At the rear is a single caliper biting down on a 240mm disc.
Fully adjustable WP XPLOR suspension is found front and rear, while a dedicated Rally mode is part of the motorcycle’s extensive tech sheet.
The new mode allows riders to adjust traction control and throttle response based on the terrain. The 690 Rally also comprises a 4.2-inch TFT display, KTM’s Quickshifter+ system, and off-road ABS.
The 690 Rally will also be available with KTM's four-year Premium Manufacturer's Warranty scheme.
