Davey Todd ruled out of 2026 Isle of Man TT
The 2026 Isle of Man TT will not feature multi-time winner Davey Todd, after he was ruled out following a medical assessment.

Davey Todd has been ruled out of the 2026 Isle of Man TT, following a medical assessment on the injuries he suffered from a crash at Daytona in March.
The news was confirmed by the TT’s organisers, which was accompanied by a statement. The decision is a major blow to Todd, who also missed last week’s North West 200.
The 8TEN Racing BMW rider suffered numerous injuries in a crash during the Daytona 200 earlier this year, but had hoped to make a return at the NW200, only to be ruled out just before the event started.
Todd had hoped to make his return at the TT, which begins on May 25 and runs through the first week of June, however, Todd’s disappointing start to 2026 will instead continue. This all comes after Todd returned to riding just a few weeks in Valencia at a private track day.

The decision not to let Todd race at the 2026 TT was confirmed on Tuesday, May 12, following a review by the TT Medical Team.
Todd said this about missing out on the 2026 TT:
“I’m absolutely gutted to say I’m not going to be on the start line for TT 2026, especially given all the work that’s gone in over the last nine weeks. “I’ve done everything possible to get myself into a position to race, and I’m so grateful to everyone involved in my treatment at Formula Medicine in Italy, plus the awesome support from BMW Motorrad, Monster Energy, and all the amazing people around me.
“We’ve left no stone unturned and tried everything possible with the goal of being back for the TT, but unfortunately we’ve just run out of time. The focus now shifts to next year so I can come back stronger than ever. In the meantime, I’ll be supporting my 8TEN Racing team from the sidelines.”
