Michael Dunlop, Dean Harrison, John McGuinness Classic TT bikes confirmed

Michael Dunlop will race a Royal Enfield 500 at the Classic TT, while road racing rival Dean Harrison will pilot a Manx Norton in the same Historic Senior category. 

Both Dunlop and Harrison dominated the 2026 Isle of Man TT in June, with the former winning on three occasions - twice in the Supersport class and once in the Sportbike category - while Harrison took victory in the two main races of the event, the Superbike and Senior TT.

Both riders are once again expected to be major contenders throughout the Classic TT later this month, although the likes of Peter Hickman and Davey Todd will also be in action, in what is shaping up to be one of the best fields the Classic TT has ever produced.

Although Hickman and Todd have been confirmed for this year’s event, they are not listed in the Historic Senior entry list as it stands. However, we do know that Hickman will race a WizNorton 588cc Rotary in the Formula 1 race. 

Leading the field away in the above-mentioned Historic Senior class will be none other than 23-time Isle of Man TT winner, John McGuinness. The now 54-year-old will campaign a Paton BIC 500 for Team Winfield. 

Mike Browne will start from second on the road aboard a Norton ES2 machine, while Harrison will head off from his familiar spot of third. Jamie Coward will be Harrison’s team-mate in the Historic Senior class, meaning he too will ride a Craven Classic Racing/Ted Woof Manx Norton.

Dunlop will be the only rider seeded inside the top 20 that is riding a Royal Enfield, although there will be plenty of other iconic machines racing in the class, including an MV Agusta 500 Three, a Suzuki T500, several Yamaha TX500s, a Matchless G50, and a Ducati Desmo 500. 

Dan Sayle will be the rider piloting the MV Agusta 500 Three machine, which is a motorcycle that was once raced by Giacomo Agostini in the Grand Prix world championship. 

The 2026 Classic TT takes place from August 16 to August 28, and within that will be three days of racing, with at least two races on each day. The final day of racing will also see McGuinness lead a special parade lap as a celebration of his 30-year anniversary racing at the TT.
