Clarke PRO378 32 Piece ½" Drive Metric Socket Set review

We all want a decent socket set. There’s an undeniable pleasure in having to hand a comprehensive, quality set that does all the jobs you need. But with basic sets starting at around £20 ranging up to top quality ones with a baffling array of sizes and fitments priced in the £100s it’s hard to know what to go for. 

Which is why this 32-piece set from Clarke at Machine Mart at just £63.59 could, for many home mechanics and bike fans, be ideal. 

Called the Pro357 32-piece 1/2in Drive Metric Socket Set, it is, as its name suggests, a fully metric set (no need for old school AF sizes here) with a half-inch drive which all comes in its own rugged, blow-moulded, plastic case for easy storage and portability. 

The sockets, drive and accessories are all made from hardened, tempered and polished chrome vanadium. The sockets include 17 conventional items in sizes 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, 27, 30 and 32mm.
