Ruroc launches limited-edition AT4 Track Verde helmet

Ruroc’s answer to the likes of AGV, Shoei and Arai, three helmet brands widely used by MotoGP and WorldSBK riders, might just have arrived with the new AT4 Track Verde.

The AT4 Track is the British company’s flagship race and track-focused helmet range, and the new Verde edition receives ACU Gold approval as a result. The Verde edition also arrives as a lighter sibling of the AT4 Carbon helmet.

Limited to just 200 units worldwide, the new AT4 Track Verde gains a long list of features designed to make it efficient at high speeds. A specialised track liner has been introduced alongside a traditional Double-D ring chin strap, which is widely used by helmet companies to meet racing regulation compliance. This one move alone will appeal to most riders, as the Fidlock, which Ruroc usually relies on, is as fiddly as the name suggests and massively overcomplicated. Additionally, a factory-extended spoiler offers enhanced high-speed aerodynamics.

The new helmet also benefits from upgraded seals on the visors, which are designed to prevent moisture and wind from filtering through. The carbon shell construction means the helmet benefits from an ultra-lightweight feel, and has been engineered with the aim of reducing neck fatigue.

Ruroc’s newest helmet is available to buy as we speak and comes complete with both a clear and dark smoke visor. A full range of sizes are also available, ranging from small all the way to XXL.  

The AT4 Verde is priced at £599, which is the same as the Titan Gold, Rosso and Core Carbon editions. The AT4 Track range also includes the slightly cheaper Blitz and Cobra models, both of which are priced at £549. 

In terms of comparison with some of the most premium race-spec helmets out there, the AT4 Verde is considerably cheaper, as AGV’s flagship Pista GP RR starts at £1,150, although the Italian company is currently running discounts across many of its models. The Arai RX-7V Evo FIM Racing 2 is positioned in the middle of these two helmets with a price of £899 at most UK retailers.
