Kawasaki gently updates its Versys 650 with new colours and a price rise
Kawasaki has lightly updated its Versys 650 for 2026, with availability starting mid-August.

Kawasaki’s Versys 650 has been lightly refreshed for 2026 with three new colour options added, ahead of availability starting in mid-August.
The minor updates also mean Euro5+ compliance has been achieved, while the starting price has been increased by £150 compared to the outgoing model.
The new colourways include deep blue, grey and black variants. Beyond that, the 2026 Versys 650 remains the same as before, meaning it keeps the same 649cc parallel-twin engine that produces 66.1bhp at 8,500rpm and 44.9Ib ft of torque at 7,000rpm.

Braking also remains the same as before with dual semi-floating 300mm discs, gripped by dual piston callipers at the front. A single 250mm disc is found at the rear with a single-piston calliper.
Suspension once again comprises a 41mm inverted telescopic fork at the front, with adjustable rebound damping and adjustable preload. The rear set-up includes a single-shock with remote spring preload adjustability.
The 2026 Versys 650 uses the KTRC traction control system and adopts full LED lighting, as before. It also houses a full-colour 4.3-inch TFT dash, which allows for smartphone connectivity.

The 2026 bike keeps 17-inch wheels, seat height of 845mm, ground clearance of 170mm, and 21-litre fuel tank as before.
Alongside the updated model, Kawasaki offers the chance to spec the Versys 650 in either a Tourer or Grand Tourer edition, which are available at an extra cost.
