Yes, it's that time again. Al picks up his 2018 Suzuki GSX-S750 long term test bike

Obviously, there's a forecast for snow tomorrow. But we're maintaining that the bike season is ON from now. Mostly because I've now picked up a long term test bike for this year - a Suzuki GSX-S750. The neat 3/4 litre roadster should be just the job for his metropolitan blatts round the highways and byways of Ye Olde Londone Towne, and I'll be doing my best to try out as many bolt-ons and other bits as I can.

Sportier tyres, a full exhaust system, Power Commander, lithium battery and maybe some brake pads are all on the list to start with: more grip, power, noise and stopping power are constantly in demand... I'll also be putting a rack on for my Givi V47 top box, because there's nothing better than duffing up high-end sportsbikes on inappropriate machinery with extremely practical hard luggage.

Now, eagle-eyed folks out there might spot that the wheeile pic is a 2017 bike, while my 2018 bike is shown above - well done! This pic is from last year, when I spent a few weeks on a GSX-S750, and really enjoyed it. It's a simple, no-fuss roadster, and I reckon with a few tweaks, it'll be up on par with the best of the class. Stay tuned for more, GSX-S fans!
