Overall Review

Add heated grips/luggage and its the car that ends up looking forlorn and neglected, not the bike! If you want to get out and ride, there are no excuses with this bike. Work or play its ticked all my boxes!

Strengths

The confidence factor it gives, both in my riding and in the fact its built to last!

Weaknesses

If I could think of any with the bike I would say (honest!). But the only weaknesses I had were with the accessories:- The Honda top box a bit on the cheap/flimsy side and colour matching hugger not quite a 'match'? Thats all!

Cracking bike that re-invented motorcycling for me I was stuck in a rut with CBR600's and thoroughly enjoy riding this bike it has a big grin factor I often drag it out ona night after work and just go out and have some fun riding it, roll on the summer

Strengths

Stonking motor easy to ride super comfort excellent two up. just really good fun alternative to sports bikes and I had 6x CBR6's before this, looking forward to seeing the new CB1000R a more radical bike when it appears alter this year

Weaknesses

OE Michelin tyres poor changed for 014's bland looks bit on the heavy side at 220+kgs, OE exhausts not the best design put Microns on mine sounds gorgeous

Has I said a good all rounder does everything I ask of it. It's got the usual Honda ease of use and balance.

Strengths

just pulls well in all gears from 2000 rpm upwards. has good build quality is easy to ride.

Weaknesses

If you like lots of fancy paint this is not for you, could not think of any weaknesses

Bland styling yes but I buy a bike for riding pleasure not to impress at ride meets or sit and look at it.

Overall Review

A Quick torquey bike. Easy to ride. Corners and leans well to boost confidence. Lovely deep drone from Laser Duo tone cans if you fit them. First gear is a bit low and useless. A Proper FUN Road Bike but if you are currently riding a sports bike you will find yourself looking for a "7th" gear. An easy to live with bike, that will not "kill" you on re sale. Very sought after. I am on my Second and love it, and next year may bring a third.

Strengths

Its a Honda. Torquey, cheap Long life service if you spend the extra for long life oil...service at 8000 miles only. A good looker if you add some accessories. 54MPG possible. Easy to ride Cheap to insure.

Weaknesses

A Bit bland, but add some Honda accessories.... and you have got a winner. First gear is a bit low and useless. Avoid full fairing.. makes it difficult to clean, but if you must..Honda's own full fairing looks better than "Ermax"

Overall Review

Love the bike, go out at every opportunity, feels good, looks are bland but hey, it does everything I want it to do after spending a good length of time looking at alternatives. Build quality is spot on, would I recommend to a friend?, yes and have done. Two have bought the same bike. Lot lighter than a Pan, cheaper, more responsive and handles better. Far better and more exciting than a Deauville. OK it is a bike for men and girls of a certain age, but a cracking bike all the same.

Strengths

Engine response, good top end without screaming revs, handling, riding position, just a great all round bike for short blasts, commuting and touring. Ride for hundreds of miles in a day without backache, sore wrists etc. I have the GT version 2008 model, Bridgestone tyres, replacement screen for GIVI touring screen, and panniers.

Weaknesses

No hugger as standard, first ride out on wet muddy roads, underside of bike, shocker covered in muck. Vibration at about 3900- 4100 revs, soon goes above that.

Strengths

Smooth engine and great brakes

Weaknesses

Front mudguard too short so you and the bike pick up lots of dirt off wet roads

Overall Review

Well, some people say bland, I say gimme bland, I use this bike every day for a 60 mile round trip commute, plus the pleasure miles I do. I bought the bike in May 08 with 7000 miles on, now January 09, got 27000 on the clock. Still looking good (underneath the ACF50 LOL) ultra-reliable (apart from the time I ran the tank dry and cooked the fuel pump) Handles like it is on rails, and a creamy smooth power delivery, just what you need when 80% of your commute is on dodgy country roads. Bottom line, if yoiu buy a bike to RIDE, it is a goody, if you buy a bike to pose on, then it probably isnt for you.

Strengths

Handling, turbine like engine, fuel consumption, service intervals, reliability

Weaknesses

tiny battery, although used every day, mine can run out of oomph when warm, could do with a fuel warning light in addtion to the gauge (although to be fair the gauge is pretty accurate)
