Overall Review

In all seriousness, I would have to say this is the best bike I have ever had the pleasure of owning, sure it won't cruise like a ZZR1400, have a top end like an R1 or the looks of an F4 but smiles per miles it beats them all. yeah the seats a pain in the arse on distance rides but your too busy having fun, the quick shifter is a dream, Handling makes you feel like a riding God and the OEM tyres are fantastic. What really makes this bike, Is the whole package If you've had enough of being cramped up on a sportsbike bit still want the ooomph and handling with the added safety nets that the APRC package throws in then you won't go wrong with one of these. Don't believe me? book a test ride.

Strengths

Engine: Smooth but drips with torque from the word go all the way up to the red line, and the accompanying sound track is a classic, no need to go for an aftermarket pipe hear* as it really is alot louder than you think would be legal. Quick shifter: A lovely bit of kit that can happily be used at part throttle at above 4000rpm, so its not just for balls out gear changes, smoothest changes I have ever felt and blistering quick as you let the reigns out the APRC package is worth this alone. Handling: You need to book yourself a test ride to believe it, It's amazing.

Weaknesses

Seat: At first you might cry but then after a few trips out you body adjusts to it. Fuel consumption: 25 MPG running it in, 1500 miles later getting 29MPG seriously it gets better mpg the harder you ride it, must be the exhaust valve opening about 6k, but it likes to be ridden hard. Thats it for cons I cant fault anything other than those two points.

stonking !

Strengths

its awsome people, just go test ride it as for a gsxr K5 with risers well please excuse me whilst I be sick< sounds to me like you shouldnt of crashed it in the first place, only place you will sell that thing is either gumtree or swapz.co.uk< call that a review, madness!

Weaknesses

Well this bike might be a bit much for wide bar gsxr K5 riders and the seats a bit hard, mpg is a bit poo but you wouldn't be buying this bike for that lol.

Overall Review

The bike has a relatively small window for best use. I had it for 3 days and 200 miles and didn't really find a good place for it. It is not best suited to town work because the geometry is focused towards 70 - 100 mph corner stbility not darting around at 30 - 50 mph. It has a really strong engine which means the bike wants to go quickly but above 90 mph the wind is a problem. Perhaps its faults are shared by all super nakeds. Naturally too fast for a naked. It is supposed to be good on track but few will buy a £11k naked track bike! One to borrow not buy. I still want an RSV4 though.

Strengths

The engine is charismatic, powerful, linear & musical. The brakes and other equipment are top notch. The price is more competitive than it might have been.

Weaknesses

Many people will find the small tank, short range, and 25mpg unacceptable. The headlight is poor. I don't like the looks (but that is subjective). The reliablility is poor (the Spyder Club bike had a problem in its first few weeks). The seat is unconfortable.

Overall Review

The most exilerating and intense naked sportbike ever to roll of an assembly line Not for everyone and many will never like it, but it simply eclipses any Tuono ever made and arguably ever naked superbike ever to roll off an assembly line

Strengths

Chassis, riding position, engine sound, usable power

Weaknesses

you will go to jail, your other bikes drive out of the garage when it pulls in

Overall Review

Love it to bits it is my second Tuono first was the "V" twin, but think this time Aprilia have re-invented the design mould for pure fun and sex on wheels. Everyone should ride one just to say they have been to heaven and mated with an angel, get out there and try one.

Strengths

Excellent handling very sharp great fun can be a little tiring in town but on the open road IF!!!! you can hang on to it you will better the traditional sports bikes with some ease. Just completed my second trip to Rimini on my yellow Tuono and I love the buzz of hacking through Europe at illegal speeds taking the perfect bends at 100 mph plus. It can get a little uncomfortable after a 100 miles or so but hey!! ride it hard and you'll be stopping for fuel anyway it's a small price to pay for having possibly the best bike on the road at the present time, or do as I have and buy a gel seat.

Weaknesses

Can be heavy on fuel when ridden hard and at full chat and caning it, mine went down to 22 mpg mmmm!! steep but you can not take out a super model on £10.00 and still your' leg over the best ride ever. Touring is ok but after a 100 miles you will want a 10 min break coz your' butt has decided to die due to the harsh seat. Being only 5`8" with a 29" inside leg I found it a tad high so installed a lowering kit much better feel more in control but that really is not a critisism just an observation.

Overall Review

Ignore those who wouldn't recommend, one of the reviewers appears to be a test pilot and the other got the bike from a club. Take a ride and if it doesn't float your boat don't buy it - simple as that. I bought this after 3 years of owning a Gen 2 Factory which I loved. This one is a whole new ball game and every time I ride I can't get rid of the grin for hours. Mine is not the APRC (I am not a fan of interfering electronics) and so far its road manners have been impeccable though I do always try and ride to the conditions. It has broken down once due to a poor electrical connection to the oil pressure sensor, though I have forgiven the bike this minor transgression. That aside everything seems good and it is getting better and smoother as the miles go on. I hope it stays reliable as I had zero problems in 3 years of ownership of the previous Ape, so there is no reason why this should be worse. All in it is awesome and currently there is nothing available that could tempt me away.

Strengths

THAT engine, awesome handling, feels solid

Weaknesses

MPG - but then you don't buy a high performance vehicle for economy. Not the prettiest around, but after owning for a while it becomes better looking. Have you ever heard a parent say that their child is ugly? It's like that you see.
