MotoGP reveals 2027 calendar with 22 rounds and two new venues

MotoGP’s new 2027 calendar has officially landed, with Buenos Aires and Adelaide set to host races, while Balaton Park has been scrapped. 

The 2027 season will get underway at the Chang International Circuit in Thailand from March 5-7, before heading to Qatar and Brazil for rounds two and three.

From there, the series will head to Buenos Aires, which last hosted Grand Prix racing in 1999. The revamped Autódromo Oscar y Juan Gálvez replaces Termas de Río Hondo as the home of MotoGP in Argentina, while also replacing Hungary’s Balaton Park for 2027.

Adelaide’s new street circuit, despite much controversy and scepticism from locals in recent months, is set to replace the iconic Phillip Island track as the destination for the Australian GP.

The Australian Grand Prix has been positioned as the penultimate round of the season, taking place on November 12-14. 

Following the Argentina GP in April, MotoGP will then head to the Circuit of the Americas in Texas, USA (April 23-25), before kicking off its European leg in Jerez on May 7-9.

Le Mans will host round six (May 28-30) before MotoGP heads to the famous Mugello circuit, which has secured a new five-year deal to host the championship until the end of the 2031 season.

For British fans, August 13-15 will be a key date for your diaries as MotoGP will head to Silverstone that weekend, for round 13. 

Valencia will close out the 2027 season on November 26-28, before the traditional post-season test the following week.
