Overall Review

Average helmet, but wouldn't buy another one

Strengths

Good fit, fighter pilot sun visor is good

Weaknesses

Not enough airflow, especially in the face. Visor fogs up quite quickly Visor does not stay open when you lift it Rain always runs down the inside of the visor (dangerous), then it fogs up worse than ever.

Overall Review

The noise is one issues, the other is the top vents. Two tiny switches that seem to make no difference and it is not clear which way is open and which is closed. I even e-mailed Caberg to find out, but they did not reply. Lower down and the venting is fine, especially if you remove the small wind deflector in the chin. My recommendation is a yes because I have read so many reviews which disagree about noise. So I cannot say if the V2r is a noisy helmet full stop, or just for me on my bikes.

Strengths

Mine is beautifully made and finished. Mine is used regularly and I have had it for a year and it still looks brand new. The sun visor is very good. It is comfortable to wear. The clip ratchet strap is excellent.

Weaknesses

It is so noisy. I have a flip front and open faced helmet and the V2r is the noisiest of the three. The wind roar above 40mph drowns out everything else. Even with earplugs in I find it too noisy to use for touring. It has become my bad weather commuting helmet.

Overall Review

Good helmet

Strengths

Had this helmet for a year and ridden 10000 miles in it. Pleased with it. Never had a problem with the visor leaking or failing to stay open, sun visor quite useful.Even in HOT weather it hasn't overheated and is still smell free!

Weaknesses

Mine is the matt black version which marks easily.

Overall Review

A reasonable and safe helmet from the budget end of the market.

Strengths

SHARP 5 star safety rating, good snug fit, comfortable, good integral sun visor, visor stays open at more than 60mph, able to wear glasses even when using sun visor, good price.

Weaknesses

Noisy, helmet vents appear ineffective, rain runs down inside of visor. Certain windscreen configurations setup annoying resonance buzz in helmet.
