Triumph Daytona 660 claims maiden world championship win at Misano
Triumph’s Daytona 660 has won for the first time in the all-new Sportbike World Championship, creating history for this particular model in the process.

Triumph’s Daytona 660 has claimed its maiden victory in world championship racing, after Bruno Ieraci won in the all-new Sportbike class at Misano last weekend.
The Daytona 660 has been one of the most impressive machines through the opening few rounds of 2026. Podium finishes in Most (round three) for Ieraci, and Aragon (round four) for British riders Fenton Seabright and Harrison Dessoy, were then backed up by Ieraci’s win at Misano during Race 1 of the event.
Ieraci’s win was by no means expected, after the Italian rider had to jostle his way through from seventh on the grid. Ieraci hit the front midway through the race, before managing to fight off the attacks from others in the latter stages.

Following Ieraci’s victory on Saturday, the Daytona 660 returned to the podium immediately in Sunday’s Race 2, with Seabright finishing third aboard the PHR Performance Triumph after leading the race heading into the final lap.
The new Daytona 660 is powered by Triumph’s liquid-cooled triple, which produces 94 bhp at 11,250rpm and 50.8 Ib-ft of torque at 8,250rpm.

Ian Kimber, Head of Global Racing Programmes at Triumph, said this about the Daytona 660’s first World Championship win in the Sportbike class:
“To be standing on the top step of the world championship podium in such a competitive new class is an incredible achievement for the team. It really demonstrates the capability of the Daytona 660, allowing our riders to extract the maximum performance out of it, and win in a field with a wide variety of machines.
“It’s the epitome of sportbike racing and a great series for young racers to develop their talent. We’re really proud of everything that both Triumph teams and riders have achieved so far this year, and we’d especially like to congratulate Bruno Ieraci on this very special debut victory with the Daytona 660.”
