Suzuki Germany reveals the Suzuki Katana Limited Edition model with just 45 produced
Just 45 examples of the special edition Suzuki Katana will be produced for the German market, each with unique decals, numbered detailing and a few added goodies.

Suzuki is giving its retro-inspired Suzuki Katana a limited-run makeover, with just 45 examples of the new, and very imaginatively named, “Limited Edition” set to be produced.

The modern Katana already leans heavily on the design cues of the original Suzuki Katana – the sharply creased bodywork, silver paint and that unmistakable nose. The new LE version adds a handful of cosmetic upgrades and a small equipment tweak to sweeten the deal.
The most obvious change is visual, with each bike getting a numbered sticker marking its place in the 45-unit production run. The bike also gains a carbon-like tank pad, frame sliders, and a blacked-out rear fairing. There’s also a black and silver decal kit called “The Edge”, which Suzuki says is intended to emphasise the Katana’s angular lines.

Buyers also get a couple of extras thrown in. Alongside the bike comes a black garage mat with the Katana logo on it, and a copy of the book Katana History, which charts the development of the model across more than four decades.
The only real mechanical change comes via the exhaust, with the LE swapping the standard silencer for an Akrapovič slip-on system designed specifically for the Katana. Everything else — the chassis, brakes and engine package — remains as per the standard bike.
That means the same 999cc inline-four derived from the Suzuki GSX‑R1000, producing a claimed 152hp. In Katana form, the engine is tuned for stronger mid-range rather than outright top-end punch, and it’s paired with a ride-by-wire throttle and a stack of electronic rider aids.
Those include three riding modes, five-level switchable traction control (Suzuki’s STCS system), and a bidirectional quickshifter as standard.
Underneath, the chassis setup is unchanged, too, with an aluminium frame paired with KYB suspension, and Brembo brakes with radially mounted calipers.
As with the standard bike, the electronics package also includes an LCD dash flanked by LED indicator displays, while the lighting system is fully LED throughout.
Suzuki says the Suzuki Katana Limited Edition is available now through dealers, but sadly only in the German market. It’s priced at €15,045 (around £13,000) before on-road costs, although with just 45 bikes being built, it’s unlikely to hang around for long.
