This ultra-unique Aston Martin Brough Superior AMB001 is up for auction, with auctioneers Broad Arrow Auctions anticipating that bidding could reach upward of £217,000.
Powered by a 997cc, 180bhp V-twin engine, the AMB 001 was, as you can probably guess, a collaboration between uber-exclusive carmaker Aston Martin and uber-exclusive motorcycle brand Brough Superior.
The bike was first unveiled way back at EICMA 2019, but deliveries of the machine didn’t actually start until 2022.
The AMB 001 was effectively a turbocharged version of Brough Superior’s SS100 retro-modern machine, and designated for track-only use. Only 100 were made and they had starting prices exceeding £100,000. Pretty much every aspect of the machine, from the footpegs to the brake levers was either bespoke built or ultra-high-spec kit.
As such, it’s hard to imagine that any of them - including this one - have gotten very much track use.
This bike, No. 63 in the production run, is "finished with a Sterling Green main body and a Body Gloss carbon belly pan,” according to its auction listing. “Additional detail finishes include a Lime Essence lower ‘V’ and front spoiler underside, raw machined spine Satin Black forks and swingarm, Satin Black Wheels, Conker Saddle leather seat with Oxford Tan pads, and Conker saddle leather grips.”
One of our favourite little details is that the bike comes with an owner’s manual. We reckon that manual is leather-bound, with gold inlay. When you open it, there is just one page, upon which is written: “Dude, you’re rich. Pay someone else to worry about this thing.”
The exclusivity of this listing is self-apparent. Opportunities to own one of these bikes probably don’t come up very often. Of course, you could probably buy all the remaining Suzuki SV650 models in the UK for the same amount of money, but where’s the fun in that?
