Further, varying riding-style plans can be set through the In&motion app (Street mode, Adventure mode, Track mode) to further improve operation in differing riding environments.
Thanks to 7 sensors – 3 accelerometers, 3 gyroscopes and 1 GPS – the detection algorithm measures the parameters of use a thousand times every second and, if necessary, provides the fastest inflation activation in the world - in less than 60 milliseconds - with total coverage of the vital areas: chest, abdomen, neck and spine.
Waterproof and breathable, the AIRSCUD is designed to be worn as a CE cetified vest (Class 3) over or under any outfit (or with the Tucano Urbano AIRSCUD-ready jackets), and can transform into a CE-motorcycle certified jacket in seconds - with sleeves equipped with D3O® T5 EVO X CE – EN 1621 Level 1 CE certified protectors on shoulders and elbows, and a CE EN 1621 - Level 1 back protector in the vest.
With a little window in the back to keep an eye on the LED lights of the In&motion box (as well as switch it on and off), there are two front pockets for valuables, with sleeve & bicep adjustors for the perfect fit.
Weighing in at just 2,620 grams as a size-large jacket (1,950 grams as a vest), the exterior has been constructed with a lightweight Taslan polyamide, with 500D Oxford polyamide in the areas most exposed to impact.

Available in 6 sizes from Small - 3 XL, the Tucano Urbano AIRSCUD will be available online (Tucano Urbano website) and in select UK Tucano Urbano stores from September.
Temporarily priced at £399.00 as a pre-order until the 31st of July - that’ll also net you the sleeves worth £99 for free - after the 31st of July the unit will be RRP £399.00 for the vest and £99.00 for the sleeves.
The In&motion box will need a subscription to operate, and will be €120 a year.
