GoPro and AGV set to launch motorcycle helmet with built-in camera
GoPro is partnering with premium motorcycle helmet maker AGV, with the two companies set to reveal a fully integrated lid that could shape future designs.

GoPro and AGV are set to debut a new fully integrated motorcycle helmet in 2027, and while full specs are yet to be released, the vision behind the new lid is clear.
Much remains unknown about the helmet including its spec, what it will be called, which riders it is aimed at, and more. However, we do know that it will have a built-in camera from GoPro.
This alone is a feature that would take most current helmets right to the top of the premium-spec tree.
But the fact that GoPro is partnering with none other than AGV, a company renowned for its performance capabilities, as well as being a helmet brand heavily used in MotoGP, shows just how much intent is behind this project.

As part of a social media post from GoPro, the new helmet can be seen testing at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in Italy.
Footage then cuts to the helmet being used on the road, but beyond a very limited description, there’s not much else to go off.
Neither company has revealed a launch date as of yet, nor has information on pricing been announced, both of which will likely be confirmed during early 2027.
However, the footage points to an integrated camera being positioned just below the visor, effectively replacing one of the attachment points riders would traditionally use for filming purposes.
It’s also unclear at this stage what the field of view will look like from the camera, or its recording quality, but if we had to guess, we would expect this to be of a very high standard.
Mounting electronic devices into a protective piece of equipment is no simple task, which is why AGV’s role in the helmet’s development is especially noteworthy. Placing the camera at the front of the helmet could require adjustments to the normal ventilation patterns it would use on a helmet, while potentially affecting things like shell construction and aerodynamics.
The collaboration between GoPro and AGV represents a significant moment for the motorcycle helmet sector, which could lead to many more partnerships being created between helmet makers and video camera specialists in the future.
