Akrapovič launch exhausts for the Triumph modern classic range

The Triumph modern classic range can now benefit from the bark of an Akrapovič end can

Triumph Scrambler 1200

THE Triumph Modern Classic range just got a bit more modern thanks to the addition of a range of modern high performance exhausts from the Slovenian exhaust specialists Akrapovič.

The new systems are currently homologated for the T100, T120, Scrambler 1200 and Speed Twin models, with the Street Twin and Thruxton 1200 (R & RS) options incoming.

All are finished in natural titanium or matt black finished coatings, with time taken to ensure that the exhausts enhance the tone and volume of Triumph’s already good sounding parallel twin-cylinder machines.

The new cans have also been developed to optimize power throughout the entire rev range, as well as enhancing the torque, especially in the mid to high rpm zone. The system for the Scrambler 1200, for instance, increase power by 2.5hp and torque by 2 ft-lbs – not to mention saving nearly 2kg in weight.

The new systems from Akrapovič also give the classic lines of the Triumph Bonneville derived machines a pleasing modern look, with the systems on the Speed Twin looking particularly nifty.

The exhausts are finished with titanium outer sleeves in natural titanium or black, an engraved logo or monochrome logo sticker, and silver or black-coated end caps and black-coated heat shields, ensuring that these systems look just as impressive standing next to the sidewalk as they do out on the road.

Sadly the new range doesn’t include an upgraded can for the 2020 Rocket 3, a bike that is surely crying out for a spicy sounding system to make the most of that glorious 2,500cc engine!
