MotoE racer Eric Granado gets his own Shark Skwal Cup replica helmet
The new Shark Skwal Cup Eric Granado Replica helmet takes inspiration from the Brazilian rider's national colours and racing career.

The days of replica helmets being reserved solely for MotoGP stars and World Superbike champions appear to be behind us, because Shark has just unveiled a new Skwal Cup design carrying the colours of Brazilian racer Eric Granado.
The new lid joins Shark's growing line-up of race-inspired graphics and arrives draped in the unmistakable green, yellow and blue of the Brazilian flag. If it looks a little familiar, that's probably because the colour scheme immediately recalls the iconic designs worn by Brazilian Formula One legends such as Ayrton Senna, although this particular helmet celebrates one of two wheels' own South American stars instead.

Granado has built a career racing on the world stage, becoming a familiar face in both the MotoE World Championship and the FIM EWC paddock, and the new design is intended to reflect both his racing pedigree and his Brazilian heritage. The result is quite possibly the most eye-catching lid to ever emerge from the French brand.

The new graphic option is based on Shark's relatively new Skwal Cup platform, a sports-touring full-face helmet that borrows heavily from the firm's more aggressive race lids. It features a rear aerodynamic spoiler inspired by the company's track-focused Aeron GP, along with a polycarbonate shell developed using computational airflow analysis to improve stability at speed.

Elsewhere, riders get an internal drop-down sun visor, Pinlock-ready visor system and a double D-ring fastener rather than the more common micrometric buckle, reinforcing the Skwal Cup's sporting intentions. Shark has also designed the helmet to accept its Sena-developed communication systems should owners want to add Bluetooth connectivity later down the line.
The Eric Granado Replica joins the wider Skwal Cup range now available through Shark dealers, and if understated graphics are your thing, this probably isn't the helmet for you. If, however, your riding gear philosophy falls somewhere between "be seen" and "seen from orbit", Shark may have just delivered exactly what you're after.
