The 2024 KTM 50 SX and 65 SX are the dirt bikes you wished you had as a kid

KTM has announced its 2024 50 SX and 65 SX kids dirt bikes, with overhauling changes aimed at increasing accessibility with greater adjustability

2024 KTM 50/65 SX

KTM, or more generally the Pierer Mobility Group, has ruled the roost in the off-road minibike (or Sportminicycle, as it likes to call it) world for a while now, but there’s still room for improvement.

Keen to ensure it remains on the front foot, KTM has announced a range of changes to its 50 SX and 65 SX dirt bikes for 2024, mostly with the intention of increasing accessibility to the bikes for a greater number of kids.

And so, headlining the changes for 2024 is the new steel frame around which both the new 50 SX and 65 SX are built. It features a “polyamide glass fibre reinforced steel two-piece subframe,” KTM says, and the chassis’ whole design is height-adjustable to cater for different riders.

The bikes’ suspension (which comprises a WP XACT AER inverted front fork and a new WP AER rear monoshock), handlebar position, bodywork, and subframe are all height adjustable on the 2024 KTM minibikes; as well as the seat height, which is adjustable between 634mm and 683mm on the 2024 50 SX, and between 730mm and 760mm on the 2024 65 SX.

2024 KTM 50 SX Factory Edition

The KTM 50 SX Factory also returns for 2024, offering increased specs compared to the standard bike. These include an FMF exhaust, what KTM calls a “KTM factory seat”, an Iridium Brisk Factory Edition-specific spark plug, and a Red Bull KTM Factory Racing-inspired graphic kit.

The 2024 KTM 50 SX, 50 SX Factory Edition, and 65 SX will be available in authorised KTM dealers from November 2023.
