Montesa carries refreshed Cota 301RR, Cota 4RT 260R and 4Ride models into 2027

Montesa has taken the covers off its 2027 line-up, which unsurprisingly, keeps to three models including the brand’s flagship Cota 301RR.

Montesa has revealed three models as part of its 2027 motorcycle range, with both the Cota 301RR and Cota 4RT 260R gaining new liveries.

The Cota 301RR remains the brand’s flagship model, and while not much has changed, it does make use of a new red and white livery.

The Cota 301RR is also the company’s most competition-focused bike, and despite the change in paint, it remains unmistakably Montesa.

The bike’s 298cc engine is inherited from the same machine used in the Trial2 World Championship, as are premium components including machined triple clamps, aluminium silencer and frame, brake discs and carbon protectors.

Aimed at a wider range of riders, including those with less trails experience, the 2027 4RT 260R arrives with the same technical specifications as 2026.

It shares many of the same components as the above-mentioned 301RR, including its front suspension from Showa, aluminium frame and muffler, and its competition-inspired design.

The 2027 model benefits from new graphics in-line with that of its Cota sibling. However, the new red and black colourway takes on a more classic approach.

Finally, Montesa has also revealed the returning 4Ride which remains unchanged both technically and aesthetically, which is no great surprise given its meaningful makeover just one year ago.

The 4Ride model also shares some of the same features as both Cota motorcycles, while also benefiting from a 4.3-litre fuel tank. The 4Ride ticked off Euro5+ compliance thanks to a new exhaust and aluminium muffler inherited from both Cota cousins as part of its 2026 update.

As was the case last year when Montesa rolled out its new line-up, a line of accessories are once again available with the Cotas and 4Ride. This includes mats, stands, seats and protective covers.
