BMW R1300 GS Adventure gets colourful Oktoberfest makeover
BMW Motorrad has given an R 1300 GS Adventure a colourful Oktoberfest makeover, creating a one-off Wiesn-GS for Munich’s 2026 celebrations.
There are few things more German than a GS Adventure, but BMW Motorrad has managed to make its big adventure bike even more Bavarian, thanks to a colourful Oktoberfest makeover.
Meet the BMW R1300 GS Adventure x Oktoberfest München 2026, a one-off version of the big GS created specifically for this year’s beer-fuelled celebrations in Munich.
Rather than launching another special edition with a few extra accessories and a new badge, BMW has taken an R1300 GS Adventure Triple Black and given it a rather more obvious makeover.
The work was carried out with German customisation company ARider, which has covered the bike in a wrap inspired by the official Oktoberfest 2026 poster. The design uses the colours, shapes and graphics from the poster across the GS Adventure’s bodywork, giving it a look that is considerably more colourful than the usually stealthy Triple Black.
BMW describes the finished bike as an ‘Unikat’, which is German for one-off. That means this sadly isn't a GS you’ll be able to order from your local BMW dealer.
Underneath the Oktoberfest graphics, it remains a standard R1300 GS Adventure. That means BMW’s 1,300cc boxer engine producing 145bhp at 7,750rpm and 149Nm of torque at 6,500rpm, along with the big 30-litre fuel tank that makes the Adventure considerably more touring-friendly than the standard GS.
The Triple Black model also brings a substantial equipment list, although BMW’s Oktoberfest project is really about the appearance rather than mechanical changes.
There’s no extra power, suspension trickery or performance upgrade hiding underneath the colourful wrap.
The project even has its own suitably Bavarian name, with BMW referring to the bike as the ‘Wiesn-GS’.
The German manufacturer has also used the phrase ‘Auf’klebt is’’, a play on the Bavarian dialect that refers to the graphics being stuck onto the bike.
There’s a competition running alongside the project, too, with BMW Motorrad Germany offering the chance to win a BMW motorcycle for a weekend between 9 and 12 October 2026. Sadly, for British riders and the rest of the world, it’s only available to German residents at the time of the competition.
