KTM’s 2026 supermoto line-up continues to grow with the Austrian brand revealing its updated 450 SMR, which now meets the latest FIM noise limits.

The new small-capacity 450 SMR joins the entry-level 125, 350 and 650 SMC R family as part of a revamped supermoto range.

Following the FIM’s new noise limit of 109 db, which was implemented for 2025, KTM has tweaked the new 450 SMR to specifically comply with those regulations. It’s managed to do that through EFI (electronic fuel injection) modifications, revised airbox inserts and changes to the exhaust.

The updated KTM 450 SMR also features a different insulating cap for its CPC fueling connector. KTM says “the result is more protection from knocks or debris but also another shield against dirt or other terrain disrupting the engine performance and the flow from the 7.2 litre fuel tank.”

The new supermoto model can be equipped with the Connectivity Unit Offroad (CUO) system, which can be done as a KTM PowerPart add-on. This means riders can tailor the bike’s settings to fit their riding preferences, courtesy of the KTMConnect app function which is available through smartphones. The CUO can be fitted between the CNC Triple clamps and the GPS sensor attached to the front fender.

Once the connection has been made then engine management, suspension settings and mileage can all be altered and tracked “through a few simple taps of the screen”, according to KTM. The GPS system housed by the updated 450 SMR means further analysis of riding style and performance is available.

A fresh look has also been brought to the table by KTM, with the 450 SMR now featuring a dash of purple along the side fairing. The 2026 KTM 450 SMR will land at authorised KTM dealers from November, with a price of £11,449.
