The closest thing MV Agusta has to an entry-level machine, the Brutale 800 is revealed for 2026.

MV Agusta’s Brutale 800 is back, promising, in the manufacturer’s words “the purest expression of MV Agusta’s naked sports DNA.”

Pitched by MV Agusta as “the gateway into the MV Agusta universe” (ie. the closest MV Agusta gets to an entry-level machine), the Brutale 800 is driven by a 798cc triple that claims peak power outputs of 113 hp at 11000 rpm and 62.6 lb-ft of torque at 7500 rpm.

Built upon a “high-performance” steel trellis frame, the Brutale 800’s suspension consists of 43mm Marzocchi front forks that are fully adjustable for preload, compression, and rebound damping, while the Sachs rear monoshock is equally adjustable.

Brembo M4.32 front calipers grip 320 mm floating discs at the front, with a Brembo rear caliper and 220 mm disc at the rear. The Brutale 800 rides on Bridgestone S22 tires.

Technology goodies include Electronic Assisted Shift, which, according to MV Agusta “provides seamless gear changes, adding both precision and adrenaline to every ride.”

Thanks to a six-axis IMU you also get traction control, cornering ABS, and rear lift mitigation. Four riding modes - Rain, Sport, Race, and Custom - come standard, with everything monitored via a 5.5-inch TFT display that - as you would expect - offers connectivity through the MV Ride App.

You also get cruise control, cornering headlight, an integrated anti-theft system, geolocation, and an emergency SMS function.

The 2026 edition debuts in the “exclusive” Rosso Ago Opaco (Matt) colour scheme. We reckon MV Agusta uses the word ‘exclusive’ there because they’re excluding all other colour schemes.

No longer tied to the KTM circus, MV Agusta offers a 5-year warranty on its bikes. UK pricing is not yet available but the starting price in Italy is €12,600 (about £11,062 at current exchange rates).
