Guy Martin appears in court charged with using a fake driving licence

TT RACER turned TV presenter Guy Martin has reportedly appeared in Lincoln Magistrates Court charged with using a fake driving licence.

The 36-year-old Barnetby resident appeared at Lincoln Magistrates' Court on Thursday, November 15th.

According to the Lincolnite, Martin was accused of possession of a document 'so closely resembling an Irish driving licence as to be calculated to deceive' between December 4th 2017 and May 15th 2018.

The alleged deception was discovered by the DVLA when Martin attempted to add other driving categories, such as lorries.

He was also charged with making a false statement by claiming he was the holder of an Irish driving licence for the purpose of obtaining a UK licence on May 14 this year.

Martin denied both charges and asked for the case to be taken to trial at Lincoln Crown Court, where he will enter a plea on December 13th.
