CFMoto brings Moto2 looks to its small XO Papio Racer
CFMoto has added more style to its Grom-alike range, with the XO Papio Racer now looking like its Grand Prix bikes.

Chinese motorcycle manufacturer CFMoto is continuing to push its minimoto range, as its XO Papio Racer now heavily resembles its race bikes that are used in the world championship.
For those that don’t know, CFMoto currently races in Moto2 and Moto3 through a partnership with the Aspar team. The Chinese brand has, despite being new to Grand Prix racing in 2022, already achieved impressive levels of success, including winning the 2024 Moto3 title with Colombian sensation David Alonso, who also has Spanish citizenship.
At first glance, the fully-faired XO Papio Racer might not look like a Grom, however, it is the same bike as the XO Papio Trail model in many ways, which features more stripped-back bodywork. Other differences include the more road-focused tyres found on the Papio Racer, while the Trail model features a seat that’s less aggressive in its shape.

Power across both models is the same, as the 126cc single-cylinder engine produces 9.3 bhp at 8,250rpm and 6.7 Ib-ft of torque at 6,500rpm.
The XO Papio Racer doesn’t just get its race-appeal through a matching livery that’s housed by its Moto2 and Moto3 bikes, as it also features mini winglets.
The bike also has a curb weight of 114kg, which it again shares with the Papio Trail model, as is the case with its 7-litre fuel tank.
Both models also feature dual-channel ABS and Traction Control, while they share a three-inch display that features a mechanical pointer.
Suspension is handled by upside-down forks and a monoshock at the rear, while stopping power is taken care of via two-piston calipers at both ends of the XO Papio Racer, which work together with a single 210mm disc up front and a 190mm disc at the rear.
