Bikers call for action as Lindsay and Craig Foreman hit 600 days in Iran jail
Bikers are set to show their support for British couple Lindsay and Craig Foreman, who have now been held in an Iranian prison for over 600 days.

A special ride out is set to take place in London on September 9, as part of a campaign to try and bring justice for British couple Lindsay and Craig Foreman, who remain detained in Iran.
It has now been 600 days since the motorcycle couple were placed in jail, with both sentenced to a decade in prison after being convicted of espionage charges in February 2026. Craig Foreman has since been handed an additional two years in jail on top of his 10-year sentence.
This was confirmed to Craig Foreman by a judge when the motorcyclist believed he was meeting with his lawyer. The extra two-year sentence was for speaking to media outlets while incarcerated.

The couple were originally arrested when travelling through Iran during an overland motorcycle journey towards Australia, and they have maintained their innocence ever since.
The ride out in London will be the second of its kind, after bikers first united when the couple hit 500 days in jail. On that occasion a gathering of adventure bikers rode into Parliament Square on May 20.
Next month’s ride out will see riders meet at Queen’s Gate, with bikers urged to arrive at 9:30am before departing at around 10am. It will then end at Parliament Square, where the Prime Minister and MP’s will gather for Prime Minister's Questions (PMQ). Taking part in the ride out is free, and can be booked on the official Eventbrite website, while organisers have also urged the government to show its support by bringing justice for the British couple.

A statement from the organisers said:
“Sentenced to 10 years for espionage without evidence, these two innocent British citizens have been left to endure an uncertain and distressing ordeal
“The UK government now needs to step up, take action and stand unequivocally behind its citizens.
“Any inaction not only abandons Lindsay and Craig but also sets a dangerous precedent - sending the wrong message to any nation contemplating the unlawful or politically motivated detention of British citizens.
“We invite you to join us for a significant event: an opportunity to raise awareness, demonstrate solidarity and demand meaningful action.
“This is more than a simple ride out - it is a united call for justice and accountability.
“Together, we must make it clear that Lindsay and Craig will not be forgotten, and their continued detention must be challenged. We will ride past the Iranian embassy before arriving at Parliament in time for Prime Minister’s Questions.
“We urge the UK government to fulfil its responsibility, exert genuine pressure, and do everything possible to secure their immediate release.
“Let us stand together, support our fellow citizens, and show the world that Great Britain will always defend its people and will not tolerate their unlawful detention for political gain.”
Specifically, organisers of the ride out want the government to publicly communicate the couple’s innocence, declare that they are 'arbitrarily detained', and to work alongside the UN on a strategy to support bringing the couple home safely.
