Car tuner Mansory turns its hand to two wheels, with Yamaha TMAX 560 custom
Best known for souping up Bugattis and G Wagons, Mansory has turned a Yamaha TMAX into a carbon-clad “mega scooter”.

The tuning house Mansory might be best known for hopping up hypercars for rich people who go by the first name ‘Sheikh’, but it’s also getting into the two-wheeler game. The first ‘bike’ to get the Mansory treatment was the Vespa Elettrica Monaco Edition, although its latest target is bigger in every way.

Introducing the Mansory Maxi Scooter, which started as a Yamaha TMAX 560. Sitting above the strapline “Power. Prestige. Perfection”, the new machine is basically a carbon fibre-covered version of the bog-standard TMAX, with seemingly little or no mechanical upgrades to speak of. That’s really no surprise, given how different the Yamaha’s mechanicals are compared to the hypercars the company usually deals with.

What it does have is seemingly all the carbon fibre. From the mirror covers to carbon ‘Mansory’ badges that replace the famous tuning forks, there are no huge swathes of carbon bodywork, just little flashes of it from nose to tail. It does feature a revised front fairing, with larger, more flared nostrils crowning the nose cone. The paint scheme for the bike is, according to Mansory, a “typical Mansory colour scheme” – that’s turquoise to you and me.

For those looking to Mansory their TMAX, it looks as though the machine can be created by purchasing the kit of parts, which the brand notes has to be purchased as one and cannot be sold separately. It’s worth noting that no price is confirmed on the website, and that the phrase ‘if you have to ask the price you probably can’t afford it’ was effectively coined by the company.

The Vespa scooter, mentioned above, is reported to have cost anywhere between £11,000 and £30,000, depending on the final spec, while the base price for the Elettrica is around £5,000. With that in mind, we’d expect the Mansory “mega scooter” to be costing punters a lot more.
Still, it’s small change when you own most of the oil fields in the Middle East.
