No, you’re not mistaken. This custom-built beauty from Bandit9 is a Royal Enfield Continental GT wrapped under a hand-crafted chrome body. It is available in just nine exclusive units worldwide.

The build was crafted by Design Chief and Founder of Bandit9, Daryl Villanueva in Vietnam, called Arthur II. The bike, despite being completely custom-made, features drawbacks to Royal Enfield, including the engine, as it keeps the air/oil-cooled 648cc SOHC parallel twin engine.

Things get different with the engine, and in particular, what it is wrapped in. The 650cc twin is housed in an adjusted steel frame and is paired with a bespoke twin exhaust system. The hand-beaten bodywork is a highlight of the custom creation from Bandit9, with all bodywork finished in mirror-polished aluminium.

The front and rear suspension have been adjusted to fit the bike’s distinctive cafe racer styling, and as a result, the standard piggy-back shock set-up is no more, instead replaced by horizontal springs fitted to brand new anchors.

Bandit9 says the bike has received custom controls and switches, which is also true with the taillights, turn signals and headlight. Curved bars have been added to the bike, and it also gets new leather grips as well as custom levers.

Replacing the normal indicator layout are two units mounted on either side of the mainframe, which are alongside the newly added shocks.

The bike’s seat has been hand-stitched and is made of calf leather, finished in a brown colourway to match the handlebar grips.

The price for this hand-crafted take on Royal Enfield’s Continental GT sits at £19,592, making it a pretty but pricey option compared to the stock bike!
