After revealing its new rugged-looking Imber 125, AJS has yet another new model set to land in the UK.

The new JFT-125 can be reserved as we speak and comes with a price of £3,299. It will officially land in dealers later this month, with a total of three different colours to choose from.

The learned-legal naked, which also gives off scrambler vibes in large part because of its long single seat, is “packed with premium features”, according to the British-owned motorcycle maker, which includes a lacquered finish on the fuel tank.

Speaking of the bike’s fuel tank, it has a maximum capacity of 14.5 litres to go along with a ready to ride weight of 128kg (that’s without fuel onboard). That’s a slight increase of 13kg over the new Imber model.

The JFT-125 is powered by a water-cooled DOHC four-stroke engine that produces a maximum power output of 12.7bhp. It also makes use of a manual six-speed gearbox.

The suspension setup comes in the form of upside-down front forks with heavy-duty alloy yokes, and that’s paired with a single adjustable rear shock and anodised alloy swingarm.

AJS says the new JFT-125 “blends a timeless scrambler silhouette with modern engineering to deliver a thrilling and comfortable ride for today’s roads.”

Joining the JFT-125 as part of the updated AJS naked range, is a new JS-X which also receives a total of three colour options for 2026.

Unlike the JFT-125, the JS-X is well and truly a naked in terms of its appearance, and it’s also slightly more powerful, producing 14.7bhp.

The seat height is also different between both models, with the JS-X’s saddle positioned at 800m compared to the JFT-125’s 820mm.
