British motorcycle brand AJS has revealed a new quirky-looking Imber 125, which features a semi-automatic four-speed gearbox.

The new model will land in the UK with a price of £2,349 including VAT, and it will be available in a total of four colours.

The new Imber features a 125cc air-cooled SOHC engine that produces 6.91kW (or 9.2bhp) at 8,000rpm. The bike gets a claimed weight of 115 kg, and an 8.5-litre fuel tank.

Riders will find a seat height of 810mm with the thickest padding. That however, can be adjusted to a more accommodating 760mm with a low seat option. Ground clearance is set at 190mm.

The bike comes to life with both an electric and kick starter, while also benefiting from LED’s all around, including an LED dash.

Gearing is fed through the above-mentioned four-speed gearbox and semi-automatic centrifugal clutch. That means there is no lever on the left side of the handlebars.

The Imber might not look like the most off-road-ready of motorcycles, but its looks are deceiving, with AJS saying it’s “complete with dual sport tyres for better grip on gravel and dirt roads.”

The new model also gets a rear mounted luggage rack for long journeys in the saddle, which is attached beneath the rear passenger seat.

Blending rugged durability with quirky city vibes, AJS says “the Imber provides the perfect balance of rugged durability and agile performance, it offers the confidence to tackle winding backroads, the practicality to carry your gear into the wild, and the ease to glide through daily commutes.”
