Triumph has officially unveiled the new Trident 800, a middleweight naked roadster that sits between the firm’s 660 and 765 triples, and it’s due to arrive in UK dealerships from March 2026, priced from £9,195.

At its core is a brand-new 798cc three-cylinder engine producing 113 bhp at 10,750rpm and 61 lb ft of torque at 8,500rpm. The motor features a twist-forged crank, high-compression pistons and triple throttle bodies, with Triumph promising a sharper throttle response and a broad spread of torque. The engine revs to 11,500rpm and should retains that familiar triple howl the British brand is known for.

The chassis uses a new lightweight frame paired with fully adjustable Showa suspension, with 41mm upside-down forks up front and a rear monoshock with preload and rebound adjustment. Braking is handled by twin 310mm discs and four-piston radial calipers, while Michelin tyres and a 198kg wet weight suggest agility is central to the design. The seat height is 810mm, and Triumph says the narrow waist should make it manageable for shorter riders.

Rider aids include lean-sensitive cornering ABS and traction control, three riding modes (Road, Sport, and Rain), and Triumph Shift Assist for clutchless gear changes. Cruise control and Bluetooth connectivity come as standard, the latter managed through Triumph’s My Triumph system and displayed on a 3.5-inch TFT dash. Lighting is all-LED, including a round DRL headlight and self-cancelling indicators.

Design-wise, the Trident 800 borrows the compact, muscular look of the 660 but adds sharper edges and more premium detailing. The 14-litre tank flows into a tidy seat and tail unit, while the short, upswept silencer keeps the rear looking clean. It will be available in three colours: Ash Grey with red detailing, Carnival Red with graphite accents, and Jet Black. Gold-finished wheels are standard, and Triumph will offer accessories, including a titanium Akrapovič silencer.

Service intervals are every 10,000 miles (16,000km), and the bike carries a two-year unlimited mileage warranty. Triumph’s online reservation system allows UK buyers to secure a build slot and colour choice ahead of the March 2026 arrival.

The Trident 800 expands Triumph’s middleweight range, joining the Trident 660 and Street Triple 765. It’s aimed at riders looking for more power and specification than the 660 but without stepping fully into Street Triple RS territory. On paper at least, it looks set to bring some extra bite to the middleweight naked segment.
