BMW reveals new riding gear collection
Innovation, maximum safety, and comfort are some of the key things BMW wants you to know about as part of its new 2026 riding collection.

It’s that time of year where Christmas shopping is upon us, and for manufacturers that means welcoming in some new products for people to get their mitts on.
BMW is no different as its 2026 riding collection has been unveiled, and it claims to be full of innovation, while optimising safety and comfort.
Starting with the headline-grabbing, eighth-generation System 8 Carbon helmet, BMW says it “offers optimum safety with minimum weight thanks to its helmet shell made of a carbon-aramid-fiberglass mix.”

It also uses an “innovative MIPS Integra TX” multi-directional protection system, which is designed to reduce rotational movement of a rider’s head when an impact occurs.
Then there’s a non-carbon System 8 helmet which is also homologated to ECE 22.06 safety standards, and is made from a mix of glass fibre and aramid. Both helmets also feature a polystyrene inner construction to add another layer of safety and comfort.
Additionally, both lids feature a multi-joint mechanism that allows the helmet to be used as an open-face helmet. Upgrades can be made through BMW’s ConnectedRide communication system, with BMW saying “the corresponding antennas and devices are integrated ex works in all System 8 helmets”.
Moving away from the System 8 helmet, BMW has also revealed a new GS Rallye Carbon helmet, alongside a non-carbon version. The carbon variant is available in black, and in Tramontana, Trophy, Calama, Lima and Nasca designs. For the GS Rallye helmet, you will get the option of white, matt gray, black and neon yellow.
Both helmets receive BMW’s Pull Rescue system, which allows the cheek pads to be removed quickly before taking off the helmet, if a rider has an accident.
Staying with the Rallye theme, there’s a whole bunch of other new items from BMW, including a Gore-Tex jacket that meets AA safety standards. A pair of GS Rallye trousers have also been added to the collection, as have gloves which are available with or without Gore-Tex.

Gore-Tex features heavily throughout the collection, as the material is found on a range of other gloves and boots.
The waterproof and breathable material is found on many of BMW’s new garments, including the GS Trophy jacket that’s been designed for sporty riding. Furthermore, its outer jacket is able to be worn separately as an outdoor piece of clothing.
