First look at the Kawasaki Ninja H2

Teaser image finally released

KAWASAKI has released this image of the forthcoming Ninja H2 in their fourth teaser video

The new bike, shod with smatterings of carbon fibre, air intake scoops, slick tyres and sports bike styling, is widely suspected to use the supercharged four-cylinder engine Kawasaki revealed at last year's Tokyo Motor Show.

That prototype motor appeared to be based on some of the same castings as the ZX-6R unit, but with the addition of a supercharger to boost power. The ‘H2’ reference could be a suggestion that the final engine will actually be around 750cc.

Last week, the firm released a sound clip of the bike revealing a couple of interesting things: it’s a four-cylinder four-stroke engine, so it’s very unlikely to be any sort of rebirth of the old two-stroke three-cylinder H2. And secondly, the ‘howling and chirping’ in the video is confirmation that the machine will use forced induction.

The 2015 Ninja H2 is due to be unveiled September 30 at the Intermot show in Cologne, Germany. The next teaser video will be released this Thursday.
