Overall Review

The market has a bike design for every whim and fancy - or so you'd think when you look at the staggering number of different models available. My prerequisites were for a light to medium weight, highway capable, good cruising range, inexpensive motorcycle. My intended use is purely leisure riding. The closest bike to suit my requirements is the 696Monster at triple the cost! Others will disagree, which is their right. That's why there are thousands of different bike designs out there. I believe the Inazuma fits the bill perfectly for me and I love getting it into the country. (Below, I will give a "good" rating where it is too early for me say otherwise - only 1000k on clock)

Strengths

This is a light weight, easily manoeuvred unit with perfect seating for my build (5'8"; 70kg) & is very highway capable. Cruising range way over 300k (187ml), over 2L in tank after 345k mountain/ highway run. Best tank 88mpg, avge for 1006 k's = 86.6mpg. Best power/torque at 6000-8500 rev range = 80kph to 115kph in 6th gear, perfect country road cruising. Road presence large for 250cc- opted for Cardinal Candy Red for this reason (black very tempting). Fuel gauge, gear indicator bonuses. Non chrome wheels = easy clean Excellent wind deflection, away from legs, by side pods.

Weaknesses

Being so new, luggage options ( here in oz) very limited. The Suzuki rear top box is too far rearward and too high for my liking. The twin exhausts make the bike a little wider than it could have been. They do look good to me but I preferred the 900Hornet style, tucked high and out of the way. The paint on the wheels not as classy a finish as the Hornet's. (but what do you expect for 1/2 the price?) Service fee of A$287 at 1000k, 5000k then every 5000k, is a little steeper than ideal.

Overall Review

some people may have not suffered the same issues has myself.but for me this bike is not fit for purpose.its caused inconvenience. i will make sure i replace it before the warranty runs out.

Strengths

a good job it as a two year warranty.

Weaknesses

reliability issues started after 11months and 2400 miles, first was the replacement of front caliper and mastercylinder after front brake totally failed then at just under 3000 miles on came the FI light and the bike was running on one cylinder, coil replaced. back at the shop now with FI light back on and running on one cylinder again. this time the diagnostics are telling the shop different sensors activating.i had this bike as a second bike for my short commute to work, really thought reliability would,ve been better.
