The Z750's muscular styling hides a bike that is easily ridden by all.
Windblast at motorway speeds and that useless digital rev counter
The Z750 is another solid Kawasaki. A screen will improve its motorway ability but it looks good, goes well and is a lot of fun to ride

Overall Review

Overall the bike's great fun, and I'm very happy that I bought one. I've always liked the styling of the Z, and while my personal opinion is that the Z1000 is a better bike, a second hand 750 can be found for good money. Well worth it.

Strengths

It's a very comfortable bike, and handles particularly well around town. Quite easy to maintain for the home mechanic, and the price of parts doesn't seem to be any worse than those of other marques.

Weaknesses

The gearbox feels somewhat notchy, and the lack of a screen can make the bike uncomfortable at speed, as well as an annoying vibration from the pegs. Might be down to the tyres (conti Road Attacks), but the back-end feels quite twitchy when cornering at speed. Nuts & bolts tend to go off very quickly, although I suppose this could be said for most modern bikes.

Overall Review

For this money, how much more could you ask?

Strengths

Engine is definately the heart and soul of the bike. Pulls well, plenty of mid-range and the 750cc is lighter than than a 1000 but has the extra oomph over a 600. The styling is nice, rear end of the ZX range and the bikini fairing gives an aggresive, purposeful look. Comfort is good, nice riding position for around town. Price can't be ignored. The list price of five and a half big ones went out of the window, new ones being sold for less than five G, mine was pre-reg, no miles and cost just £4,200 delivered. Obvously this has had a knock on effect on residual values and bargains can be had second hand.

Weaknesses

Engine is a touch vibey and has an annoying flat spot at 5,500rpm. Wing mirrors are next to useless, unless of course your elbows are a cuase of endless fascination. Brakes and suspension can show their underlying cheapness when pushed hard.

Overall Review

Excellent package as a town bike and great value for money.

Strengths

Hooligan machine around town with a surprisingly torquey motor for a small engine. Razor sharp steering. Remarkably well finished for what is meant to be a budget bike.

Weaknesses

Lack of protection makes distance work a pain in the neck. Budget suspension lets it down on the track. Does vibrate a bit. Mirrors next to useless

Budget price yet a lot of bike for the money. Looks the dogs and proper fun to ride.

Strengths

Good motor, riding position and looks are top

Weaknesses

Suspension is not the best. Front a bit vague and the back typical Kawasaki rock hard.

I really like it, been riding for 24 years and have had plenty of bikes in my day, its all about the rider and the road for me really.

Strengths

Quick when it needs to be and civilised when it needs to be, easily changed to improve its looks, lots of cool AM parts available.

Weaknesses

Seat is shit - its like getting kicked up the arse after 200 miles.
