Zero unveils its first electric scooter
Zero Motorcycles has expanded its range for 2026, and in doing so has brought to our attention a new LS1 scooter.

Zero Motorcycles has welcomed a brand-new model to its 2026 range, with the LS1 scooter arriving as the first of its kind from the American company.
Zero, best known for producing full-size electric motorcycles, says the new LS1 scooter is part of the same ‘All Access Initiative’ that revealed its XE and XB electric dirtbikes.

The new scooter will be heading to the European market as early as December, with deliveries expected during the second half of the month.
The LS1 features two removable batteries and an 800W charger, which can take the scooter from 0-95 per cent in 4.5 hours. Additionally, riders can charge the scooter from 20-80 per cent in 3 hours.

However, with an optional 1500W fast charger, the scooter’s battery life can go from 0-95 per cent in just 2.75 hours. According to Zero, that same 1500W fast charger needs just 1.75 hours to charge it from 20-80 per cent.
The scooter’s under seat storage compartment can hold a 3rd battery, although it is sold separately, says the American brand. Should the third battery be added, then the LS1’s standard range of 115km (or 71.4 miles) can be increased to what it calls a “best-in-segment” 170km (around 105.6 miles).
Mechanically, the LS1 gets a center-mounted motor, as well as a short wheelbase, ABS and traction control, all of which come as standard features.

Pierre-Martin Bos, CEO of Zero Motorcycles, said this about the new scooter:
“The LS1 is designed for the people we see every day in cities like Paris, Milan, or Barcelona and the surrounding metro areas: professionals who want to move easily, avoid the costs of fuel and parking, and look sharp while doing it. It’s simple, it’s stylish, and it makes riding electric accessible to a whole new group of riders, without compromising on what makes Zero special. The LS1 is a scooter that’s refined, connected, and perfectly tuned for urban life.”
