Yamaha MT-07 Grand Prix de France 2025 edition launched
The Yamaha MT-07 Grand Prix de France 2025 special edition is to commemorate this year's race at the Le Mans Bugatti circuit.

French riders will once again be getting their hands on a country-specific model that we can’t have, as the Yamaha MT-07 Grand Prix de France 2025 special edition is launched.

Before we get into the brass tacks of this thing, it's a bit of a confusing special edition. First up, the Yamaha France website talks about “Yamaha fans” who “vibrated in unison” as Fabio Quartararo “set the historic lap record on his legendary M1”. Granted, the French GP was one of El Diablo’s best weekends in recent years, with the French star topping Combined Practice and going on to claim pole in Qualifying for the main race.

His actual races, though, weren’t quite as positive, with Yamaha’s number one rider claiming a fourth place in the Sprint and crashing out of the main race on lap three. The Tricolours did have a big excuse to wave, but that came from the Honda-mounted Frenchman Johann Zarco, who took a big gamble on tyres in changing conditions and rode a mercurial race. His win meant he became the first Frenchman to win a GP at Le Mans since Pierre Monneret in 1954.

Perhaps I’m being cynical, and given Yamaha’s recent performance in MotoGP, maybe topping timesheets and qualifying on pole is worthy of a special edition - what do I know!?
Anyway, back to the bike!

It gets a typically patriotic Tricolour decal kit, similar to the one that adorned the M1 ridden by El Diablo and his teammate. It features swooping red, white, and blue stripes across the fairings and bodywork. The bike also comes equipped with a wind deflector (fly screen) and the support kit for it, as well as a tail tidy to help smarten up the back end. Those parts, as well as the decal kit, bump the value of the bike up by €611 (around £530), and the price for the complete bike, to our French neighbours, is €8,299 for a manual version (£7,200) and €8,799 (£7,650) for the Y-AMT version.
You can check out the bike for yourself on the official website.
