Kawasaki has given its Z650RS three new colourways for 2026, with availability starting in November.

Kawasaki’s summer refresh has continued with the Z650RS becoming the latest model to receive new colourways as part of the updated MY26 range.

In 2022, Kawasaki revealed an all-new Z650RS which landed as a ‘retrovolution’ of the 1970s Z650-B1 motorcycle. Fast-forward to 2026, and the Z650RS remains a touched-up classic with a modern appeal.

Said appeal, you could argue, has been enhanced further with the addition of these three new colourways. They include Ebony, Metallic Ocean Blue (my personal favourite) and Candy Emerald Green, all of which will be available from November with a price of £7,899.

Retaining a stylistic approach that’s reminiscent of the B1, and prior to that the Z1, the current Z650RS features ABS, dual throttle valves, two-mode traction control, plus an assist and a slipper clutch as standard.

Power figures for the newly-refreshed MY26 Z650RS model remain unchanged from 2022, meaning its 649cc 8-valve parallel twin produces 67bhp at 8,000rpm and 47.2 Ib ft of torque.

Suspension also stays the same with traditional telescopic 41mm forks doing the job up front, while a preload-adjustable horizontal back-link setup is found at the rear. Braking is taken care of via 300mm twin discs with Nissin dual-piston semi-floating callipers at the front, and a rear 220mm disc.

With no technical or mechanical changes, the classic retro keeps its fuel capacity of 12 litres, seat height of 820mm, 125mm ground clearance and an estimated dry weight of 174kg.
